Now you can experience the Elwha River like never before!

 



The public is invited to a free public screening of the award-winning film “Return of the River”

at 7 p.m., Friday, March 27, at the Aberdeen High School Auditorium, sponsored by
Sportsmen for Wild Olympics and the Grays Harbor Institute.

 
This film uses spectacular cinematography and music to chronicle the last hundred years
of the Elwha River including the removal of the dam and the restoration of salmon habitat,
and features people and and perspectives on all sides of the Elwha debate. John Gussman
of DC Productions, one of the filmmakers, will be in attendance for a question/answer
discussion period.

 
BACKGROUND:Through spectacular cinematography and great music, this beautiful new
film by John Gussman and Jessica Plumb of DC Productions chronicles the last hundred
years of the Elwha River, sharing the gripping tale of a river whose power was harnessed,
and then set free. The film showcases the stunning beauty and importance of the Elwha
River, a river that the Wild Olympics Campaign is working to permanently protect for
generations to come.
